What You Need To Know
Extremadura is a huge, remote, wild
area in southwestern Spain. The source of Spain’s famed Serrano
ham (made from acorn-eating, free-range black pigs), Extremadura
also produces excellent olive oil and produce. It is often said of the
region, “If it grows in Spain, it grows here.” The family that produces
this wine goes back hundreds of years in Extremadura, and selected
a spectacular site at the foot of the Lamoneda Mountains to plant
the vineyards that produced this wine.
