Clarksburg region has long been a source of some of the USA’s
best Chenin Blanc, the base grape for this white. Located about
100 miles northeast of San Francisco, Clarksburg’s vineyards, like
those of Napa and Sonoma counties to the west, benefit from
cool sea air that blows inland on hot summer afternoons.
Clarksburg Wine Company’s consulting winemaker, Stacy Clark,
spent more than two decades at Napa’s esteemed Pine Ridge,
where she crafted its acclaimed Chenin Blanc. In this bottling,
Clark combines tart, food-friendly Chenin, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon
Blanc and Riesling with lush, plumper Chardonnay and Viognier.
The result is a wine that’s fruity, complex and fantastically
