Vibrant, succulent Malbec is the calling card
of Argentina. This version, from a top estate,
features lush, black fruit.
What You Need To Know
Begun on a modest scale in 1928 by
Valentin Bianchi, an immigrant from Italy, this winery is still familyowned.
Indeed, continuity is one secret to its success: Bianchi’s
son Enzo served as winemaker for nearly 50 years, and current
winemaker Francisco Martinez has been with the winery since
1979. Though the estate’s reputation rests on its skill with Malbec,
Argentina’s signature red, its alluvial-based vineyards also contain
stock that Bianchi imported from his homeland.
