Momo is the second label of Marlborough’s star Seresin Estate. This white comes mostly from Seresin’s organic vineyards.
What You Need To Know
Savvy insiders know that second labels from high-quality wine producers are often terrific value bets. A case in point is Momo, the line of affordable wines from Marlborough’s boutique Seresin Estate. While Seresin’s flagship Sauvignon Blanc gets a dose of creaminess from wine fermented and aged in French oak barrels, grapes for Momo are vinified entirely in steel tanks. The juice is then bottled without additional aging. That translates into a well-priced Sauvignon Blanc that bursts with mouthwatering, zesty freshness and shows all of the finesse that one expects from Seresin’s London-born winemaker, Clive Dougall.
